Hello Love Forever |
Ride On Cowboy |
LOVE SONG-DUET. This is the very first duet I've ever written. I wrote it with Gwen and Blake in mind. I imagine it being made more "country" and being played both on the piano and guitar (with, of course, some fiddle and other instruments to make it fuller).

ADDICTION. This song was written about a friend of mine who lost her ex husband to drugs and alcohol. The ending is not their story but I felt like the song needed a happier, more positive ending. So many people struggle with this issue. I felt like it could be a popular subject matter and relatable lyrics. I wrote this song with someone like Reba McIntyre in mind. I'd love for it to have some fiddle and someone singing it with a little more country "twang".

Beautiful To Me |
Piece Of My Heart |
LOVE SONG. I wrote this song about my wife when we first started seeing one another. It was my way of letting her know how beautiful I think she is and how much love I have for her!
|
HEART BREAK. I was challenged to write a "story-song" about something I had not experienced, to help expand my writing capacity. Piece of My Heart is the very first song I've ever written where I created a story, and still kept the lyrics relatable.

Angry Breakup Song (Unnamed) |
Christmas Time |
Angry Breakup Song. I wrote this song with Miranda Lambert in mind. It's about finally getting that anger raging through you after you finally realize that you're worth more than how someone is treating you, and you deserve better. I feel like the lyrics are very simple and relatable.

CHRISTMAS LOVE SONG. This is my very first Christmas song I've written. Someone told me that Christmas songs were the easiest to sell off, so that's the only reason I wrote it. I wish I had something more romantic to say about it, other than the fact that it was also extremely easy to write because I wrote it for my wifey poo.

Time Is Not On Our Side |
One Of These Days |
LOVE SONG FOR YOUR KIDS. I wrote this song about my niece Brooke. She went off to college this past year and, like most teenagers, she can't wait to grow up.
I wrote this song from her daddy's perspective, but certainly had everyone in our family in mind while writing it about her. |
REGRET. I wrote this song about Kara's dad. He's one of those guys who doesn't like to discuss his feelings a lot, and rarely tells people how he feels. But I realized after spending some time with him that his lack of verbal communication on the matter has no reflection of his actual feelings. His true love in life is his two daughters, and family. And I swear if he could write songs, he'd write this one for them all.
